Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Locaver app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What Locaver Is
Locaver is a marketplace that connects customers with independent local service professionals ("pros") in the categories listed in the app, including handyman services, licensed trades, seasonal and landscaping services, cleaning services, delivery and moving, and free items. Locaver is not itself a service provider, is not an employer of pros, and is not a party to any agreement made between a customer and a pro. Locaver provides the platform for discovery and communication only.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your account, and you are responsible for all activity that occurs under it. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your province or territory to use Locaver. You may register only one account per person.
4. User-Generated Content
Listings, messages, reviews, and photos are the sole responsibility of the user who posts them. Locaver does not pre-screen content. We rely on user reports and moderator review — including the in-app reporting and blocking tools — to enforce these terms. Locaver may remove content, or suspend or delete an account, that violates these terms.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to post or send illegal, fraudulent, harassing, or misleading listings or messages; not to circumvent the app's blocking or reporting systems; and not to misrepresent licensing or credentials, including in the Licensed Trades category.
6. No Warranty on Services Arranged Through the App
Locaver does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any service arranged between a customer and a pro. Any dispute arising from such a service is between the customer and the pro.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Locaver's liability arising out of or relating to your use of the app is limited.
8. Termination
Locaver may suspend or remove your account for violating these terms. You may delete your own account at any time from the Settings screen, which permanently removes your account and associated data.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.
10. Changes to These Terms
Locaver may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
